    • Cécile Morrisson (born 16 June 1940) is a French historian and numismatist. She is Director of Research emeritus at the French National Center for Scientific Research and specializes in the study of the Byzantine Empire. She studied at the École normale supérieure, earned her Agrégation in history and obtained her doctorate in history at École normale supérieure (Paris) (ENS-Ulm). She was director of the department of coins, medals and antiquities of the Bibliothèque nationale de France. She is Emeritus Research Director at the CNRS and Advisor for Byzantine Numismatics at Dumbarton Oaks, Washington, D.C.
